Newcastle team news

Burn is sidelined along with Sven Botman (back) and Kieran Trippier (hamstring). Goalkeeper Nick Pope and forward William Osula are also unavailable.

Howe might give Yoane Wissa his first start after coming back from injury, possibly to support or partner with Nick Woltemade.

Fulham team news

Marco Silva’s squad is affected by the Africa Cup of Nations, losing Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze to international duty with Nigeria.

Rodrigo Muniz (thigh) and Ryan Sessegnon are also out. Fulham will look to Harry Wilson for creativity as he has been in strong form, with three goals and three assists in his last four league matches.

Form

Newcastle

After a tough derby loss, Eddie Howe expects a strong reaction from Newcastle. A 1-0 defeat at Sunderland has added to their tough run in the Tyne-Wear Derby.

Currently, Newcastle is 12th in the Premier League, struggling for consistency this season. However, their home performance has been encouraging, with seven wins and one draw in their last eight home matches across all competitions.

Fulham

Fulham has also faced challenges for consistent results this season, recording four wins and four losses in their last eight league matches. They have scored in seven of those games, but only managed two clean sheets shows there’s room for improvement in defense.

Predicted Lineups

Newcastle predicted XI: Ramsdale; Livramento, Schar, Thiaw, Hall; Miley, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Murphy, Wissa, Barnes.

Fulham predicted XI: Leno; Tete, Andersen, Cuenca, Castagne; Berge, Lukic; Wilson, King, Kevin; Jimenez.
