Neymar, the winger for Santos and the Brazil national team, had to leave training due to pain in his right thigh.
Details: During a training session, Neymar experienced pain in his right thigh and could not continue. Medical tests confirmed an injury to the rectus femoris muscle, which might keep him out for about four weeks.
Neymar will have a follow-up examination to better understand the severity of the injury. As a result, he risks missing Santos’ upcoming games as well as Brazil’s friendlies against South Korea and Japan while preparing for the 2026 World Cup.
This season, Neymar has participated in 13 matches for Santos, scoring three goals. The team has gathered 23 points in 60 matches in the Brazilian Serie A.
Reminder: The losing streak continues. Neymar and Santos have not won for four matches in a row.
