Nice-Fribourg: Unveiling the Official Compositions

After the Champions League, it’s time for the Europa League. OGC Nice will face Freiburg in the fourth round, starting at 1:15 PM IST, with coverage available on FM. Having lost all three previous matches and gone fifteen games without a win in Europe, Nice is eager to end this nightmare on the continental stage. However, they face a challenging task against the Germans, who have started the competition strongly with seven points.

For this match, coach Franck Haise will be without Clauss (suspended) and injured players Abdelmonem, Bombito, Ndayishimiye, and Moffi. He has chosen a 3-4-3 formation with Mendy, Bah, and Bard as central defenders. Abdi and Gouveia will operate as wing-backs, while Abdul Samed and Vanhoutte will anchor the midfield. Up front, Kevin Carlos will be supported by Boga and Diop, who is fit despite an injury scare against PSG. On the other side, Freiburg’s Julian Schuster is missing Dinkci, Irié, and Kyereh. In a 4-2-3-1 setup, Ginter and Lienhart will be the central defensive duo, with Frenchman Jordy Makengo, trained at Auxerre, on the left. Eggestein will start in the midfield, while Adamu leads the line supported by Scherhant, Suzuki, and Grifo.

Official line-ups:

Nice: Diouf – Mendy, Bah, Bard – Tiago Gouveia, Abdul Samed, Vanhoutte, Abdi – Diop, Kevin Carlos, Boga.
