After Chelsea‘s Reece James was ruled out due to injury, head coach Thomas Tuchel looked to O’Reilly, recognized as one of the standout talents in English football.
This opens the possibility for O’Reilly to make his debut in the friendly match against Wales on October 9 at Wembley.
Nico came through Manchester City’s football academy and joined the first team last summer, making 30 appearances and contributing 5 goals and 3 assists for the senior squad.
