Noa Lang is feeling relieved. The Dutch forward scored his first goal with Napoli during a 3-1 win against Atalanta on Saturday in Serie A. After the match, the former PSV Eindhoven player expressed that this goal could be a personal turning point after a challenging period, where he had to work hard to meet expectations.
“I’m happy to have scored my first goal; it was very important. It has been a tough time for me with high expectations, and I had to put in a lot of effort. Now, I look forward; the best is yet to come: this is just the beginning,” he stated. He also praised David Neres, who scored twice during the match and had not found the net in eleven months. “I’m really happy for my brother. He deserves it. We have a very good relationship,” he added.
