Another injury setback for Arsenal.
Noni Madueke joined Arsenal this summer and started out well. However, he has now faced an unfortunate injury.
Details: Insider David Ornstein has reported that the English winger has a knee injury and will be sidelined for two months. He sustained the injury during a match against Manchester City and couldn’t continue. Thankfully, tests showed that he did not damage his cruciate ligaments.
So far, Madueke has played in eight matches for Arsenal this season. The Gunners already have Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Martin Ødegaard on the injury list, with Madueke now joining them.
Arsenal’s next match is in the third round of the EFL Cup against Port Vale. It will take place on Wednesday, September 24, at 21:00 CET.
Reminder: Arsenal’s new player Viktor Gyökeres recently won the Gerd Müller Trophy, which is given to the best striker of the season. The Swedish player had an impressive last season with Sporting, scoring 52 goals in 54 games.
