Nottingham lines up manager in case Postecoglou is sacked. A surprising option
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis is contemplating a change in management, as the team currently sits at 17th in the Premier League, just above the relegation zone.
Details: According to The Telegraph, Sean Dyche is seen as the frontrunner for the Nottingham Forest head coach position if the club decides to part ways with Ange Postecoglou, who has yet to secure a win in his first seven matches.
Dyche, a product of the Forest academy and a Nottingham resident, is considered an ideal choice due to his history of rescuing clubs from relegation. His most recent position was at Everton, where he managed the team during a crisis at the end of the Farhad Moshiri era.
Reports indicate that Marinakis is also looking at other options, including current Fulham manager Marco Silva and former Forest manager Steve Cooper, who is currently leading Brøndby in Denmark. However, both options are complicated by existing contracts, while Dyche is available for immediate hire.
It is suggested that the upcoming match against Chelsea could be crucial for Postecoglou. If Forest loses again, Marinakis is ready to make a managerial change.
