New York City FC has signed goalkeeper Mac Learned to a first-team contract as of Friday.

Learned, who is 23 years old, is contracted until 2026, with options for June 2027 and the following two seasons, 2027-28 and 2028-29.

He made his MLS NEXT Pro debut with New York City FC II in March, achieving one clean sheet in 14 matches.

“My time in MLS NEXT Pro prepared me for this chance, and I’m very thankful for everyone’s support in my journey,” said Learned.

Learned will join goalkeepers Matt Freese, Greg Ranjitsingh, and Tomas Romero in New York City’s squad.
