OL Stages Epic Comeback to Secure Draw Against Juventus After Trailing by Three Goals

In an exciting match on the fourth day of the Women’s Champions League, OL Lyon faced a dramatic comeback against Juventus in Turin. After trailing 3-0 at halftime, Jonatan Giráldez’s team managed to secure a point, finishing the game with a 3-3 draw. Chiara Beccari kicked things off by scoring for Juventus with a lob over Christiane Endler, followed by goals from Michela Cambiaghi and Tatiana Pinto, which furthered Juventus’ lead.

The Lyonnais response began in the 60th minute, with a cross shot from Tabitha Chawinga from the left side of the penalty area. The second half saw Lyon dominate, and a header from Marie-Antoinette Katoto narrowed the gap in the 79th minute. Finally, Wendie Renard converted a crucial penalty in the 90th minute, allowing OL to remain unbeaten in the competition and temporarily take the top spot in the standings, pending FC Barcelona’s match.
