Michael Olise will not be transferring to Liverpool this summer, according to Bayern Munich‘s Uli Hoeness.

The 24-year-old forward had been rumored to move to Anfield as a potential replacement for Mo Salah, who plans to leave the club at the season’s end.

However, Hoeness quickly dismissed these rumors and criticized Liverpool’s spending habits.

He noted that Liverpool’s significant investment of £442 million last year has not led to improved performance.

“Liverpool have spent €500m this year and are having a very poor season. We will not help them improve next year.”

The 74-year-old emphasized the importance of fan engagement, stating: “We play this game for our fans. We have 430,000 members and millions of fans worldwide, and it doesn’t benefit them if we have €200m in the bank but play worse football every week.”
