According to DailySports on Monday, Orlando Pirates made an offer to acquire Andre de Jong from Stellenbosch FC.
What’s the latest?
Stellenbosch’s CEO Rob Benadie confirmed that the deal fell through, as the Premier Soccer League transfer window closed this morning.
Benadie stated that the two clubs could not come to an agreement regarding the 29-year-old New Zealand attacking midfielder.

“The clubs just couldn’t reach the agreement,” Benadie told iDiski Times on Tuesday.
What’s next?
Currently, Pirates have three players who can fill the number 10 position: Sipho Mbule, Patrick Maswanganyi, and Kabelo Dlamini.
The Sea Robbers will play tonight against Siwelele FC in a Betway Premiership match at the Toyota Stadium at 19:30.
