On Saturday, September 13, the MTN8 Cup final was held in South Africa.

Orlando Pirates faced off against Stellenbosch at Mbombela Stadium. This match was a rematch of last year’s final, where the Pirates claimed victory with goals from Saleng, Mabasa, and Mofokeng.

The game could not be decided in regular time, leading to extra time. In the first 15 minutes of extra play, the Pirates secured their win, and added a third goal shortly after the break. Tshegofatso Mabasa scored twice, and Tshepang Moremi added another goal.
