The possibility is still alive.
The summer transfer window experienced several player strikes, and even though it has closed in the top leagues, some players still have a chance to switch clubs.
Details: One such player is Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. While a transfer to Inter or another top five league club is no longer an option after the window closed yesterday, the Nigerian might still leave Bergamo.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Turkish club Galatasaray is now leading the chase for him. The Istanbul team has until September 12 to sign Lookman, allowing a potential reunion with his Nigeria national team colleague Victor Osimhen, as the Super Lig transfer window is still open.
Recall: Lookman previously took matters into his own hands and left the club for two weeks in protest over Atalanta’s refusal to sell him to Inter, even removing all mentions of Atalanta from his social media. Once it became clear that Inter was no longer interested, the Nigerian ended his strike and returned to the squad, although he has not played yet this season.
