On Thursday, Palestine and Tunisia faced off in the second match of the group stage of the Arab Cup. In Group A, both teams had different outcomes in their opening games. The Carthage Eagles lost 1-0 to Syria, while Palestine secured a victory against the hosting Qatar, also by 1-0 due to an own goal.

In their encounter on Thursday at the Lusail Stadium, the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Tunisia initially took the lead with goals from Layouni in the 16th minute and Chaouat in the 51st minute. However, Palestine came back to equalize with goals from Hamdan in the 61st minute and Qunbar in the 85th minute. This result places Palestine at the top of the group with 4 points, followed by Syria with 3 points (having played one match less), Tunisia with 1 point, and Qatar at the bottom with 0 points (also having one match less).
