Nearly four months after joining AS Monaco, Paul Pogba is continuing his rehabilitation. The French midfielder has been off the pitch for two years due to injuries and an 18-month suspension for a positive test for DHEA. He initially aimed to make his comeback against Angers on October 18, but a muscle strain in his right thigh delayed his return. According to sporting director Thiago Scuro, his first appearance in the Monaco colors was anticipated for early November, but it will now take a few more weeks.

Coach Sébastien Pocognoli stated in a press conference: “He is close, but there are still steps to take. Specifically, he hasn’t yet trained at 100% for the entire session. I think we’re still a few weeks away. We’ll see if it’s before the break or not. However, it’s nice to see him back on the pitch with his teammates. It also allows me to get to know him, not just off the field, but also on the field now.” The 2018 World Champion could make his significant return against Rennes on November 22, or, if needed, face RC Lens at the Louis-II Stadium before the next international break.
