The Manchester City manager holds the Norwegian striker in very high regard.
Pep has ranked Erling among the greatest players in football.
Details: In a Champions League match against Napoli, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland scored his 50th goal in just 49 appearances—an achievement no one has matched before.
After the game, City manager Pep Guardiola stated that he views Haaland as equal to Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, highlighting Haaland’s remarkable ability to finish chances:
“Erling is on the same level as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. In terms of scoring goals, he is an exceptional player,” Guardiola said.
Erling Haaland transferred to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund for €60 million in 2022. Since then, he has become Guardiola’s main striker, scoring 130 goals in 151 matches and providing 21 assists.
