Manchester City manager, Josep Guardiola, recently revealed the latest news about Rodri. He hopes that the midfielder can return to strengthen Manchester City before the end of the 2024/2025 season.

As you know, Rodri plays a vital role for Manchester City. He has been a key figure in the Cityzens’ treble-winning campaign.

However, since the beginning of last season, Rodri has been absent from the City defence. He suffered a serious knee injury and was ruled out of the City squad.

In his recent press conference, Pep gave an update on Rodri’s condition.

He said that the midfielder’s training was going well, but that he was not ready to play.

“He has trained well on the pitch, but training and playing are two very different things, so we will see how he is,” said Pep.

Pep said his team did not want to rush Rodri back into action for fear of a recurrence.

However, Pep is hopeful that the midfielder will be able to help Manchester City in this summer’s Club World Cup.

“I hope he can be back for the Club World Cup. But at the moment we are concentrating on taking him step by step and we trust Rodri,” he concluded.
