Pierre-Aymeric Aubameyang, a key player for Marseille with an impressive career, has taken on the role of mentor for younger teammates, especially forwards. The Gabonese international is guiding Robinio Vaz, the standout young talent for OM this season. At just 18 years old, Vaz has already made an impact with two goals and two assists in Ligue 1, despite limited playing time.
“Aubame has taken him under his wing, and he’s pleased to see his protégé following his example, especially since they play in similar styles,” noted Sylvain Monsoreau, a former teammate of Aubameyang at Saint-Étienne, in an interview with L’Équipe. This mentor-protégé relationship highlights Aubameyang’s influence at Olympique de Marseille, both on and off the field.
