Orlando Pirates secured a 1-0 victory over Polokwane City in Soweto on Wednesday night, maintaining pressure on the Betway Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Tshepang Moremi scored early, within five minutes, giving the Pirates the lead and the three points. This marked their sixth consecutive win.

Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou acknowledged that the team missed several good chances. “Yes, three important points, it was not easy, I think the guys did well, it was not an easy game,” Ouaddou stated in an interview with SuperSport TV.
