Juventus will take on Pisa away in their next Serie A match on Saturday night.
Juventus aims to finish 2025 on a high note against one of the league’s bottom teams to close the gap with leaders Inter Milan.
Pisa manager Alberto Gilardino will not have former Juventus player Juan Cuadrado, who is out with a hamstring injury. Calvin Stengs is also unavailable due to an adductor issue.
However, Matteo Tramoni is likely to start after scoring in last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Cagliari. Stefano Moreo, the team’s joint-top scorer with three goals, is also expected to play after scoring a late equaliser in the same match.
M’Bala Nzola, who has three goals this season, is on national duty in the Africa Cup of Nations with Angola. Ebenezer Akinsanmiro of Nigeria is also competing in Morocco, making both unavailable for this game.
Juventus faces a defensive challenge with Daniele Rugani and Federico Gatti injured, along with Juan Cabal who has a thigh issue. Midfielder Teun Koopmeiners returns from suspension and may need to play in defense alongside Pierre Kalulu or Lloyd Kelly as coach Luciano Spalletti addresses the lineup.
In the attacking phase, Dusan Vlahovic remains sidelined, leaving summer signings Jonathan David and Lois Openda to compete for the striker position, with Openda likely to start.
Francisco Conceicao and Kenan Yildiz are set to assist from the wings, though Conceicao is listed as doubtful. Carlo Pinsoglio is expected to be out until early January.
Pisa has struggled since their return to Serie A, currently sitting 19th in the table. Alberto Gilardino’s team is winless in their last four matches, suffering consecutive 1-0 defeats to Parma and Lecce before securing a 2-2 draw against Cagliari last time out.
The Bianconeri have been performing well since Luciano Spalletti took over in late October, winning six of their last seven matches across all competitions. They come into this game after a confident 2-1 win against Roma, highlighting their resilience.
Pisa: Semper; Canestrelli, Caracciolo, Bonfanti; Toure, Vural, Piccinini, Aebischer, Angori; Tramoni, Meister.
Juventus: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly; McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Yildiz; Openda.
Fans in the UK can watch the match live on TNT Sports 2.
