Paris Saint-Germain has received troubling news: Ousmane Dembélé has a muscle injury following France’s 2-0 win over Ukraine and will be unavailable for several weeks.
The 28-year-old forward entered the game after halftime, replacing Désiré Doué. However, after just thirty minutes, he had to exit the match, allowing Hugo Ekitiké to take his place. Dembélé reported pain in his right thigh. Journalist Fabrice Hawkins has stated that the PSG player is expected to be out for about 6 weeks.
Reports suggest that PSG is very displeased. The club asserts they had previously alerted the national team’s medical staff about Dembélé’s condition and insisted he should not have participated in the match. PSG believes that the lack of a complete pre-season contributed to the increased risk of muscle injuries.
