"This is madness": Rabiot outraged by decision to stage Milan vs Como match in Australia – Serie A management fires back
Adrien Rabiot, a midfielder for Milan, has spoken out against Serie A’s choice to hold his team’s match against Como in Australia. This game is scheduled for February 8 in Perth, leading to significant criticism from Rabiot.
Details: In a discussion with Le Figaro, Rabiot labelled the decision as absurd:
“This is just madness. Yes, there are commercial agreements to enhance the league’s visibility, but this goes way beyond reason. We keep discussing packed schedules and player care, and then suddenly—two Italian teams will be playing on the other side of the world. It’s insane. But as always, we have to adapt.”

The midfielder’s comments prompted a response from Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo:
“He seems to forget that he earns millions to play football. We make the decisions, and he should respect the money he earns and the wishes of his club, as it was Milan that suggested playing this match abroad.”
