A tragedy occurred this Sunday during the 14th round of the Serbian SuperLiga match between Mladost Lučani and Radnički 1923. In the 22nd minute, Mladen Žižović, an analyst on Radnički’s technical staff, collapsed after losing consciousness. Emergency services arrived promptly and transported him to the hospital, but despite resuscitation efforts, he could not be saved. This was only his third match with the team.
After Žižović was evacuated, the match briefly resumed, but news of his passing emerged before the second half began. Deeply affected, players from both teams returned to the field in tears. Given the seriousness of the situation, the referee decided to abandon the match, with Radnički leading 2-0.
