Raheem Sterling has made a surprising move to Feyenoord during the January transfer window.
The winger joined the Dutch team as a free agent after his contract with Chelsea was canceled by mutual agreement. Sterling had a challenging time at Chelsea, where he was sidelined after returning from a loan at Arsenal.
At 31, he has struggled since leaving Manchester City in 2023 and is now looking for a fresh start abroad. He is now working with Robin van Persie, a former Arsenal and Manchester United player, who is the head coach in Rotterdam.
Sterling made his debut for Feyenoord as a substitute against SC Telstar and received a warm welcome from fans at De Kuip. After coming on for Gijs Smal in the 61st minute, he was met with enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
Will this move in the Eredivisie help him regain his form?
