Rasmus Hojlund has taken a jab at Manchester United after winning the Supercoppa Italiana with Napoli.

Napoli defeated Bologna 2-0 on Monday night, securing the first trophy of the Serie A season. Hojlund played in the match and shared a photo with the trophy on social media, captioned: ‘This is what a great decision looks like.’

Hojlund joined Napoli on loan from Manchester United last summer after learning that he was not in Ruben Amorim’s plans.

The Denmark international scored only four goals in 32 league matches last season, but his performance has improved in Italy, netting seven goals in 19 games for Napoli.

While he initially wanted to stay at Old Trafford, the 22-year-old seems pleased with his choice to move to Naples.

His loan will become permanent next summer for €44 million, contingent upon Napoli qualifying for the Champions League. Currently, the Italian champions sit in third place in the Serie A standings.
