Sir Jim Ratcliffe praised Michael Carrick for his strong performance as Manchester United head coach but did not comment on the chance of him becoming the permanent manager.
The 44-year-old has achieved impressive results since taking over from Ruben Amorim, winning six out of his first eight matches.
No Premier League team has collected more points during this time, even after Carrick faced his first loss at Newcastle United last week.

“He’s doing an excellent job. Yeah, absolutely,” Ratcliffe told Sky Sports during the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai.
There have been discussions about making Carrick the permanent manager after a strong start, but Ratcliffe avoided the topic, saying, “No, not going there,” when asked about it.
Manchester United will face Aston Villa at home on Sunday, a key matchup for their hopes of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
“Yes, clearly we’re thinking about that,” Ratcliffe noted. “But there are still seven or eight games to go. It’s still a while yet.”
