RC Lens has announced a contract extension for 20-year-old Anthony Bermont, securing his commitment to the club until 2029. Last season, he was loaned to Annecy in Ligue 2 and participated in the U20 World Cup with the French team, which was eliminated in the semifinals by Morocco. This season, Bermont has made three appearances for RC Lens in Ligue 1, including a match against PSG during the fourth round.
“This extension sets the tone! A talent ‘Made in Gaillette,’ Anthony Bermont (20 years old) commits long-term to his formative club, nearly a year after signing his first professional contract. A technically skilled player, versatile and with considerable work rate, the Beauvais native is now a Sang et Or player until 2029,” the official statement from Lens reads.
