Real Castilla’s Rachad Fettal Chooses Spain Over Morocco

Rachad Fettal, a striker from Real Madrid‘s youth team, has chosen to play for Spain internationally. This decision surprised many Moroccan fans, as there were earlier indications he might join the Moroccan U-20 team for the World Cup in Chile at the end of September.

“Rachad is a skilled forward with great goal-scoring ability. While he has shown impressive talent in some games, like many young players, he sometimes lacks consistency. We approached him several times for the national team, but he ultimately opted for Spain. We respect his choice,” said Morocco U-20 coach Mohamed Ouahbi about Fettal’s decision.

Fettal’s choice is similar to that of Lamine Yamal, a young talent from Barcelona, who also decided against representing Morocco, despite the Moroccan federation’s attempts to include him.
