Real Madrid faced Barcelona in a challenging match for Matchday 10 of LaLiga. After a 2-1 victory, the team standings have changed. Here’s how they look after the game.

With this win, Real Madrid increased their lead to five points, totaling 27 points from nine wins and one loss this season. Their strong performance places them among the top teams in Europe.

Barcelona stands in second place with 22 points. Of their 10 matches played, they have seven wins, one draw, and two losses. It was a challenging away game for them.

Barcelona struggled offensively

The team couldn’t play their usual fast-paced, possession-based style. Lamine Yamal, a key player, did not make much of an impact during the match. Pedri, another star, was well-guarded throughout the game.

Barcelona’s goal resulted from a mistake by Real Madrid. Otherwise, they struggled to create scoring chances. Their high-press defense did not work well against Kylian Mbappe’s speed, as most of Real Madrid’s dangerous plays came from quick counters involving Mbappe and Vini Jr.

Is Barcelona’s second place at risk?

With this loss, Barcelona remains in second place for now. Villarreal and Espanyol, trailing closely, have 20 and 18 points, respectively, after completing their Matchday 10 games.

Now, Barcelona needs to be careful, as another loss could jeopardize their standing and make it harder to chase Real Madrid. Additionally, they will have to play next week without Pedri, who received a red card late in the game.
