While Kylian Mbappé’s recent trip to Dubai raised several questions, Real Madrid remains confident about his physical condition. According to L’Équipe, the striker missed yesterday’s training session and did not go to Valdebebas to assess his right ankle, which has been painful for several weeks. The club is not worried and is giving him an extra day of rest before he returns tomorrow morning at 11 AM IST, along with the other international players. The plan is clear: Mbappé will fully participate in training on Friday and Saturday, aiming for a potential starting position on Sunday against Elche.
Within the club, there is no cause for alarm. The staff understands that the forward is “playing while managing discomfort” and that there is no quick fix other than intermittent rest. Philippe Diallo has addressed criticism aimed at Mbappé, emphasizing that the Federation has no say once a player returns to their club. The president of the FFF acknowledged that Mbappé is indeed facing actual inflammation, and his absence in Azerbaijan was a “precautionary principle.” Diallo also defended the player against attacks on his personal life, describing it as “a form of ongoing harassment” surrounding his every move.
