Real Madrid’s Bold Move to Reinstate Achraf Hakimi

Currently injured, Achraf Hakimi (27) is spending significant time in Spain, receiving treatment at Innova, the Health and Sports Institute located in Murcia. Paris Saint-Germain has granted permission for him to do so, and he frequently travels back to the capital. During his visit to Spain, the right-back takes the opportunity to visit Real Madrid, his former club. He was spotted at the match against Elche on Sunday, drawing attention in Spain.

AS reported that the Merengues hoped to bring him back to the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer of 2026. This was the timeline set by Florentino Pérez and his team. They indicated that if he fulfilled his contract, the doors at Real Madrid would be wide open for him. Hakimi was open to this opportunity; however, after some consideration, the friend of KM10 chose to extend his contract with PSG until 2029, convinced by the visions of Luis Enrique and Luis Campos. Subsequently, Real Madrid signed Trent Alexander-Arnold.
