Bruno Fernandes is aiming for the Premier League’s assist record as the season approaches its end.
This season, Fernandes has made 16 assists in the Premier League for Manchester United, a number achieved by only a few players in history.
The Portugal international has also set a new club record for the most Premier League assists in a season for Manchester United, breaking David Beckham’s previous record of 15 assists during a recent win against Aston Villa.
With eight games left to play, Fernandes needs just five more assists to take the single-season record.
The current record is held by former Arsenal player Thierry Henry, who recorded 20 assists in the 2002/03 season, and Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City, who matched it in 2019/20.
