In the first round of the Champions League, Manchester City played against Napoli. Early in the match, a challenging incident occurred for the referee.

Details: In the 20th minute, Napoli’s defender Giovanni Di Lorenzo received a straight red card. He tackled Erling Haaland heavily as the striker was about to score, going one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

The referee initially did not give a red card, but after reviewing the play with VAR, Napoli was left with ten players.
