Report: Brazil rules Neymar out for FIFA World Cup Qualifier vs Lionel Messi’s Argentina

Neymar Jr. missed the matchup against Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

One of the most highly anticipated matchups for soccer fans was set to take place on Matchday 14 of the CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifiers, featuring Lionel Messi’s Argentina against Brazil in what was expected to mark Neymar Jr.’s return to the national team. However, there’s bad news—everything points to Neymar missing both qualifying matches.

According to Gastón Edul via X (formerly Twitter), Neymar has been ruled out and will not play against Argentina. Additionally, reports from ESPN suggest that he is also unlikely to feature against Colombia due to a thigh edema.
