The New England Revolution is set to acquire forward Marcos Zambrano on loan from Real Salt Lake, according to a report by The Athletic on Wednesday.
This agreement includes an option to buy Zambrano, who was part of the U.S. team under Revolution head coach Marko Mitrovic during the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Zambrano, originally from Ecuador, joined the Philadelphia Union academy in 2021 and scored a goal during the first MLS Next All-Star Game in August 2022.
At 21 years old, Zambrano signed with Real Salt Lake in 2025 and played for their MLS Next Pro team, Real Monarchs, last season, netting five goals in eight matches. He has yet to make his debut in MLS.
