Declan Rice has asked Arsenal to ignore outside criticism about their playing style and to concentrate on winning matches.
Arsenal is aiming for four major trophies this season following a strong performance under Mikel Arteta. The team advanced to the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday after defeating Mansfield Town 2-1.
Despite their success, Arsenal has faced some backlash this season. Critics have pointed to the team’s heavy reliance on set pieces, and Brighton’s coach Fabian Hurzeler and player Pascal Gross expressed concerns over the team’s time-wasting during their recent Premier League match.
Rice mentioned that dealing with outside noise is part of being at a club like Arsenal and emphasized that those within the team should focus on their performance. He noted that the ultimate goal is to win matches and secure trophies.
“Since I’ve been at Arsenal, there is noise every week. That’s what comes with playing for Arsenal,” Rice said to Sky Sports. “People will have their opinions on our game. We just need to focus on ourselves. The main thing is winning.”
