A setback for La Furia Roja.
Club football is on a break for international matches, but Spain faces another challenge as they lose a key player.
Details: In Manchester City‘s recent game, defensive midfielder Rodri sustained an injury and had to leave the field. He will also miss Spain’s upcoming international fixtures. Rodri shared this information after the match against Brentford.
Quote: “I’m fine. I felt a bit of pain in my hamstring, but it doesn’t seem too serious. I hope to be available in two weeks for the game against Everton,” Rodri said.
Spain will play two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup — one at home against Georgia on October 11 and another against Bulgaria on October 14.
Reminder: Rodri missed almost the entire last season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury. He has returned to the starting lineup this season but is still working on getting back to his best form.
