According to DSPORTS, Uruguayan forward Luciano “Lucho” Rodríguez will leave Brazil’s Bahia to join Neom SC in Saudi Arabia, a team recently promoted to the top division. Rodríguez is set to travel next week for a medical before finalizing a deal worth about €20 million.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the striker will be officially introduced in the coming days as Neom SC’s latest signing. The club is looking to strengthen its roster with top talent for the upcoming season.
Rodríguez departs Bahia after a strong season. He joined in July 2024 from Liverpool de Montevideo for €11 million. During the 2025 season, he played 40 matches, starting 22 and scoring 7 goals, showcasing his growth and attacking potential.
At the age of 21, his transition to Saudi Arabia represents both a personal challenge and a strategic move for Neom SC, which aims to quickly establish itself in the competitive Saudi Pro League.
