The court has given its ruling.

Executives from Juventus Turin, Andrea Agnelli and Pavel Nedved, were involved in the financial fraud case, and a decision has now been made in Rome.

Details: Reuters reports that the judge sentenced Agnelli to one year and eight months, and Nedved to one year and two months. However, these sentences are suspended and will not be carried out. According to Italian law, this setup does not imply guilt. Additionally, the judge ordered Juventus to pay a fine of €156,000.

Background: The case focused on accusations of tampering with the club’s financial records, particularly concerning transfers and wages during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Turin prosecutor’s office initially brought the charges, but in 2023, the case was moved to Rome.

Earlier, the club had agreed to pay a fine in a separate settlement with Italian football authorities, which also led to a points deduction in the 2022/23 Serie A season and a year-long ban from European competitions.
