Ronaldo and the Country’s President Attend Tribute to Diogo Jota and His Brother by Portugal National Team Players

In early July, the world received heartbreaking news — Liverpool and Portugal national team player Diogo Jota and his brother died in a car accident.

The Portuguese team is preparing for their 2026 World Cup qualifying matches soon. The players plan to pay tribute to their deceased teammate.

Details: The ceremony included national team players, head coach Roberto Martínez, legend Cristiano Ronaldo, and the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

Reminder: The accident took place at the 65th kilometer of the A-52 highway, near Palacios de Sanabria. Jota’s brother, André Silva, also passed away. The football community is in mourning, and condolences from around the world are being sent to Liverpool.
