Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to the spotlight after making a strong statement about his future with Al Nassr. In the last match of the Saudi Pro League this season, which ended in a 3-2 defeat to Al Fateh, Ronaldo scored his 35^(th) goal of the season.
However, it was not his goal that caught the attention, but the emotional statement he posted afterwards. “This round is over,” he wrote on his personal social media account, alongside a photo of himself wearing an Al Nassr jersey.
The statement immediately sparked widespread speculation about the superstar’s future. His contract with Al Nassr expires on 30 June 2025, but there has been no indication from the club that they intend to extend it.
Despite being 40 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to deliver extraordinary performances. Although many thought he would retire soon, Ronaldo is actually exploring opportunities to continue his career at a new club.
Even FIFA President Gianni Infantino mentioned the possibility of Ronaldo appearing in the 2025 Club World Cup. This has fuelled speculation that Ronaldo will join one of the clubs taking part in the tournament.
