Liam Rosenior believes that Liam Delap will have a successful career at Chelsea, despite facing challenges early on.
The young striker joined Chelsea for £30 million this summer after a successful stint at Ipswich Town.
However, he has struggled to make a mark, managing only two goals in all competitions since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
Rosenior, who previously worked with Delap at Hull City, sees promise in his development and supports his potential for success.
Rosenior predicts a successful future for Delap at Chelsea
“I have been pleased, not just with Liam but with many players I’ve coached in my career.
“I like to follow the progress of the players I have coached, and it was great to see him performing at the level I knew he could in the Premier League. So, it was no surprise when he moved to Chelsea.
“I am not surprised, but he knows I will continue to push him to improve. If he focuses on that, I’m confident he will have a great career.”
Reflecting on his time at Hull under Rosenior, Delap stated: “I spent a year with Liam, and his style is consistent. It’s beneficial because I already know his expectations.”
He also mentioned, “Every manager has their unique approach. It’s going to be an exciting style of play. We aim to be strong on the ball and control matches. We’re all looking forward to it and hope to give the fans an exciting game.”
