Liam Rosenior is confident that Chelsea will soon see Cole Palmer’s best performances this season.
Palmer has faced a challenging season due to various injuries. He dealt with foot, thigh, and groin issues but made a significant impact off the bench in Wednesday’s victory against Napoli.
At half-time, with Chelsea behind, the 23-year-old came on and assisted both goals scored by Joao Pedro, helping the team secure a win and an automatic spot in the last 16.
Rosenior expressed his happiness with Palmer’s performance and hopes the talented midfielder can avoid further injuries.
“There was no way Cole could have started this game and played 60, 70, or 80 minutes,” Rosenior stated. “Napoli have struggled with injuries themselves, so I believed that we would be stronger later in the game. Cole’s performance was magnificent—not just in terms of quality, but also his pressing and running for the team.”
“He’s experienced many games over the past two seasons, so we need to manage him carefully. I think he has handled himself beautifully over the last two weeks,” Rosenior added. “Hopefully, we can now witness the best of him now that he is fully fit.”
