Liam Rosenior is confident that Chelsea can handle Arsenal‘s challenge in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Chelsea will host Arsenal in the first leg of their semi-final tonight, as Rosenior aims to lead his new team to a major cup final.

Arsenal currently leads both the Premier League and Champions League and has become one of Europe’s top teams at set-pieces. Recently, they scored three times from set-pieces in a 4-1 victory over Portsmouth.

Before the match, Rosenior mentioned that Chelsea has been preparing to tackle Arsenal’s attacking skills.

“We’ve been working tactically on Arsenal since I joined the club,” he said.

“We understand the significance of this game, having analyzed all of their matches, especially their set plays, where they excel. There’s a lot to influence in a match.

“We discuss our systems and tactics, including how to press and build attacks. I was pleased with the team’s attitude against Charlton, especially regarding our energy, pressing intensity, and winning duels.”

“Without intensity and the willingness to excel in the basics—like winning duels and defending set plays—it’s hard to win.

“I believe in this group; they’ve demonstrated, not only in the time before I arrived but also over the past few days, that they are eager and have confidence in themselves.”
