He has openly discussed the current challenges facing the club, especially regarding midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
Mainoo had a strong debut season for United but has faced limited playing time since manager Ruben Amorim took over.
Mainoo’s half-brother, Jordan Mainoo-Hames, attended the recent 4-4 match against AFC Bournemouth and shared a photo on Instagram wearing a ‘Free Kobbie Mainoo’ t-shirt.
This attracted media attention, and Keane shared his views on Mainoo’s situation during the Stick to Football podcast.
