The injury to Bruno Fernandes has hit Manchester United hard, affecting both the team and the timing of the incident.

Fernandes plays a crucial role in United’s performance, consistently contributing goals and assists.

In his five years at Old Trafford, the Portugal international missed only three games, but that is set to change.

During the match at Villa Park, fans were concerned when Fernandes grabbed the back of his right leg in pain.

At half-time, he was substituted for Lisandro Martinez, confirming fears about the captain’s injury.

Following the match, Fernandes was spotted at a restaurant in Alderly Edge, visibly limping and showing signs of significant discomfort.

Manager Ruben Amorim has not provided updates on Fernandes’ injury, only noting that the recovery is similar to Kobbie Mainoo’s.

Mainoo is also sidelined with a calf injury, leaving Amorim with senior midfielders Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro available.

During a press conference ahead of the Boxing Day match against Newcastle United, Amorim noted that both players are recovering and suggested that Mainoo might return before Fernandes.

When specifically asked about Fernandes’ injury duration, Amorim remained vague, stating, “I have an idea, of course, but let’s see.”

Currently, there is no clear timeline on Fernandes’ return, with expectations around a month, although no specific details have been shared.

This lack of clarity about the return of United’s key player is unusual for Amorim, leaving fans waiting for more information.
