Sacramento Republic FC will play Hartford Athletic in the 2025 USL Jägermeister Cup Final at Heart Health Park on Saturday, October 4, according to USLChampionship.com. The game is set to start at 10 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Golazo Network.
Republic FC reached the final by winning a penalty shootout against Rhode Island FC, marking their second consecutive shootout victory in the tournament. Under coach Neill Collins, the team is in its third final and has allowed just one goal in six matches.
Hartford made it to its first final by beating Greenville Triumph SC 3-1 at home, with late goals from Marlon Hairston and Michee Ngalina. They have remained undefeated throughout the tournament, advancing from Group 4 as a wild card and defeating San Antonio FC in the Quarterfinals.
The importance of the final is clear for both teams. Rodrigo López described Sacramento’s journey as “emotional,” stressing that they still have one more match. Hairston shared Hartford’s excitement, noting the team’s eagerness to win a trophy for their fans.
This will be the third matchup between the two teams, with Sacramento winning the earlier meetings. The final will be followed by another game in USL Championship league play, scheduled for one week later at Hartford’s Trinity Health Stadium.
