Things are looking better between Mohamed Salah and Liverpool’s coach, Arne Slot. According to Daily Mail, the two had calming discussions on Friday afternoon, shaking hands after a week that threatened to create serious internal issues for the club. Earlier, Slot announced he would speak with Salah, who had claimed he felt “thrown under the bus” by the club and had no “relationship” with Slot. This led to Salah being excluded from the match against Inter Milan on Tuesday, as he didn’t travel to Italy.

The English tabloid reports that Friday’s discussions were positive, and Salah is now in contention for the match against Brighton on Saturday. He hasn’t started the last four games. While the situation isn’t fully resolved, additional talks are expected between Salah’s representatives and Liverpool during the Africa Cup of Nations, following the Brighton game. The likelihood of his departure appears to be decreasing, as clubs from the Saudi Pro League and MLS had shown interest. This calm should at least provide some reassurance to the fans.
