The game between Sekhukhune and Mamelodi has been postponed for a later date.

Footem highlights the standout team of the week from matchday ten of the South African Betway Premiership.

Goalkeeper: Sabelo Nkomo (Orbit College)

Nkomo returned to the squad last month and played a key role in securing a vital win in the fight against relegation. He made 6 saves and effectively managed his area while completing 40% of his long passes.

Centre-back: Eroine Agnikoi (Marumo Gallants)

Agnikoi joined Marumo just two weeks ago and made a solid debut against Chippa United. The 19-year-old secured his place by scoring a stoppage-time winner from a corner.

Centre-back: Taariq Fielies (AmaZulu)

Fielies, 33, was crucial against Durban City, preventing attacks and scoring the decisive goal just before the match ended. He also made 1 interception, 1 tackle, and cleared the ball 5 times.

Centre-back: Lehlegonolo Mokone (Magesi)

After starting the season on the bench, Mokone fought hard to secure a starting spot. In the match against TS Galaxy, he excelled in aerial battles and equalized with a powerful header in the 71st minute.

Central midfielder: Tshepang Moremi (Orlando Pirates)

Moremi had another strong performance for Orlando, consistently threatening the opposition goal. He scored the winner and now has 6 goals this season.

Central midfielder: Patrick Maswanganyi (Orlando Pirates)

Maswanganyi was instrumental against Polokwane, pushing the attack forward. Although he didn’t score, he created a significant chance, took two shots, and made three key passes.

Central midfielder: Andre de Jong (Stellenbosch)

The 28-year-old New Zealand player was exceptional against Golden Arrows, making 4 shots, 2 key passes, and 2 interceptions. He scored twice, leading Stellenbosch to victory and three crucial points.

Central midfielder: Sekela Sithole (Marumo Gallants)

Sithole has quickly made a name for himself since joining Marumo from Baroka. He excelled against Chippa United, driving the team forward and scoring with a powerful strike from outside the box in the 60th minute.

Left winger: Siyanda Ndlovu (Golden Arrows)

Ndlovu was a persistent threat to Stellenbosch’s defense, creating opportunities, taking on defenders, and contributing with a goal and an assist. He now has 3 goals and 4 assists in seven games this season.

Right winger: Monnapule Saleng (Orbit College)

After leaving Orlando Pirates for more playtime, Saleng is still adapting at Orbit College. He scored a winner in the match against Richards Bay, marking his first goal, albeit amidst controversy over a possible offside.

Centre-forward: Junior Dion (Golden Arrows)

Dion has become a key player for Golden Arrows since his summer signing. After matchday 10, he leads the Premiership scoring charts. His goal against Stellenbosch, despite not securing any points, highlights his impressive form.

Head coach: Abdeslam Ouaddou (Orlando Pirates)

Ouaddou faced skepticism when appointed in the summer. However, he has transformed the Pirates into title contenders with six straight wins, boosting player confidence and focusing on attacking play. The Pirates are currently atop the league based on points dropped.
