Senegal takes on Morocco in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tonight.
Senegal is competing in their third final in four tournaments and aims to win the title for the second time after their victory in 2021. The Lions of Teranga secured a spot in the final by defeating Egypt 1-0 in a closely contested semi-final and now go up against Morocco, who are playing at home.

Senegal team news
Coach Pape Thiaw faces a setback with the absence of captain Kalidou Koulibaly. The Al-Hilal defender received a yellow card in the semi-final against Egypt and is suspended for the final.
This is the second AFCON final Koulibaly has missed due to suspension, as he also served a ban during the 2019 final against Algeria. Abdoulaye Seck or Mamadou Sarr is expected to fill in at center-back. Sadio Mane will take on the captaincy in Koulibaly’s absence.
Sunderland midfielder Habib Diarra is also unavailable due to a suspension. Diarra’s absence might see Tottenham’s Pape Matar Sarr earn a starting spot, with AS Monaco’s Lamine Camara as a possible alternative.
Senegal predicted lineup
Predicted Senegal XI: Mendy; Diatta, Sarr, Niakhite, Diouf; Sarr, I. Gana Gueye, P. Gueye; Ndiaye, Jackson, Mane.
